WORKSHOP: HOW TO BUILD A NETWORK THAT WILL FAST-TRACK YOUR CAREER
Everyone knows your personal network is a crucial career asset that can generate job and client leads, new insights, and new collaborations. But how do you approach and meet the right people? How do you know when you’re successful? And how can you compete in the networking game if you’re introverted? Career coach Wendy Braitman will lead you through tips and lessons on how to prepare for networking events and how to stand out from the crowd.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: READY TO LEARN
Come inspire LA first-graders through reading and art! NextLA’s volunteer program, Ready to Learn, gives you the opportunity to help students improve overall reading ability, expand vocabulary, build self-confdence, and broaden their perception of their own potential. Monthly volunteer opportunities start on September 23 and will be held throughout the school year!
WORKSHOP: HOW TO TURN A CRISIS INTO A CAREER WIN
Financial upheaval, lawsuits, quality problems, accidents, executive foot-in-mouth disease. Crisis can happen to any company, and it can leave a lasting mark on its reputation. But crisis also presents an opportunity for the cool-headed and steady-handed to step up demonstrate aptitude and leadership. In NextLA’s newest workshop, crisis communications experts from Cerrell Associates will share secrets on how to respond to crisis with composure and competence.
